Saddleback Church Lake Forest Celebrate Recovery

Saddleback Church Lake Forest Celebrate Recovery’s mission is to assist individuals. It helps individual to overcoming their wounds, compulsions, and attachments. These helps may be in case of addictions and dysfunctional and obsessive behaviors.

  • Celebrate Recovery is a biblical program.
  • It helps persons in overcoming their grudges, bad behaviors, and past traumas.
  • You can process them in a safe environment at Celebrate Recovery.
  • Everybody has pain, and if we don’t work through it in a genuine way with Jesus, we risk becoming mired in our hurt and developing bad habits.
  • Anyone seeking freedom is welcome to join this 12-step program that is based around Jesus.
  • Over 70% of this event’s members come from outside the church
  • The organization has assisted over 17,000 people at Saddleback Church Lake Forest.
  • Of those who complete the program, 85% remain members of the church, and almost half work as volunteers.
  • Now, this event is present in more than 37,000 congregations globally!

The Saddleback Church Lake Forest Celebrate Recovery program consists of three basic parts:

  1. Large Group: This is where everyone gathers to hear a personal testimony of a transformed life or a teaching focused on recovery. We refer to this as a “shoulder-to-shoulder” encounter.
  2. Open Share: At this point, we divide into gender- and issue-specific groups. It is done so that everyone feels comfortable sharing their triumphs and setbacks with people who have experienced similar traumas, hang-ups, and routines. This is what we refer to as a “face-to-face” encounter.
  3. Step Study: Step Studies provide a secure environment for working through the 12 Steps in a gender-specific group focused on Jesus. They meet on different times of the week and require a minimum commitment of one year. It’s a place where freedom can be discovered and the “why” underlying addictions and behavior can finally be understood. We view this as a “heart to heart” encounter.
  4. It is dinnertime at 5:15 p.m.
  5. Worship starts at 6:00 p.m.
  6. At seven o’clock in the evening, small breakout groups
  7. Dessert will be served at 8 p.m.
